Random Act of Kindness in D.C.!
Every Thursday I have a favorite street I prefer to park at for my Zumba Class. I have learned that if I sit out of the way, but illegally, and wait within 10 mins someone will leave, freeing up a spot.
It beats driving around for 40 mins.
Today I get into position prepared to wait the usual amount of time. When a Driver in one of those black for hire cars, gives me the friendly head nod to let me know he is about to leave.
I was a little confused at first because he didn't just drive off as usual. I pulled forward and he backed down the street and perched his car where I was formally perched. So he gave up his comfy legal spot for me. That was so nice!!!! It's the little things that make my day!
When I went over to thank him. I found out he was Muslim from Pakistan. Image that a Nice Guy, who happens to be Muslim found a block away from the White House. So shocked they exist at all
Just wanted to share something nice in the wake of the scary dark skinned man in Boston, bull-crap news reports.

All dark-skinned men are scary....
since the Boston bombing, all I feel I have been doing is defending dark-skinned people.
