More Problems for Carnival: Ecstasy Briefly Loses Power off Florida Coast

A Carnival cruise ship briefly lost power at sea Wednesday evening, the cruise line said.

Carnival Ecstasy was on the last leg of a five-day cruise when a mechanical problem caused it to lose power for approximately 12 minutes. All hotel services and propulsion were quickly restored last night, the cruise line told ABC News.

The ship arrived in Port Canaveral, Fla., at about 8:30 Thursday morning. It did not miss any ports of call.

The ship departed Port Canaveral on Saturday, April 13. The ship is expected to depart Thursday for its next cruise, a four-day voyage to the Bahamas, as scheduled.

At least, they got it fixed quickly, but that must have been a long 12 minutes for the passengers.
