Last weekend the 16 year old kid across the street...

...wasn't happy that the neighbor kids were in 'his' woods so he approaches them and pulls out a pistol. He shoots one shot in the air and one in the ground to prove his point. Things are really out of control around here!

This young person lives in a beautiful house and from the outside, has everything. We live in a rural community with good schools and caring folks. I just don't know what to say. I am so glad that no one was hurt and that the bullet to the air did not harm anyone.

From the write up in the paper it sounds like they did arrest him. This young man has bought himself a whole lot of trouble. I wonder if the gun was his or his parents. It would seem that the parents would have some responsibilities here.

pulled a weapon that can kill and discharged it as a threat indicates he is only a few steps from using it as a threat and using it to kill. Shame on the sheriff for his attitude. This is a place where intervention can be very effective.
