The gun lobby flat out LIED in their ads opposing the background check legislation

In radio ads here in Orlando (and I'm sure these played nationwide), the gun flat out LIED about the background check legislation.

They claimed that the legislation would "take away your guns", and then praised Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and other neocons for standing up to the liberals.

THIS is why we can't get any sort of common-sense gun legislation passed nowadays. It's because of the NRA and their gun-loving sycophants deliberately lying and distorting the facts to scare people into thinking Uncle Sam is going to come crashing through their front door to confiscate their guns.

It is absolutely unconscionable that anybody could oppose measures designed to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.
