GOPPER In Ohio - Fine Teachers $5000 If They Encourage Gateway Sex -

You think you have heard it all and every day some GOPPER does not disappoint. It could be illegal for a teacher to say anything that would encourage "gateway" sex. We cannot seem to control guns, but we sure can find ways to stop sex education.

2. Effort To Promote Abstinence Only Education

The proposed legislation is about defunding Planned Parenthood and promoting "abstinence" only sex education. As part of that legislation teachers could be sued or fined $5000 for talking about contraception or promoting any organization that supports family planning.lll Penalty for "promoting" gateway sex is a fine or possible fine.

It is so much bullshit

So just what is “gateway sexual activity?”

House members deferred to the definition of “sexual contact” in the state’s criminal code:

“Sexual contact” means any touching of an erogenous zone of another, including without limitation the thigh, genitals, buttock, pubic region, or, if the person is a female, a breast, for the purpose of sexually arousing or gratifying either person.

Last year Tennessee lawmakers passed a similar law. The state already had abstinence-only education, but lawmakers added a law that bans teaching “gateway sexual activity.” Tennessee teachers who do not abide by that law could be fined $500.

Comedian Stephen Colbert took that opportunity to come up with his own definition of the term: ”Kissing and hugging are the last stop before reaching Groin Central Station, so it’s important to ban all the things that lead to the things that lead to sex.”

You know how kids are these days. First it's just little Bobby and Susie, stealing kisses on the playground. Next thing you know they're selling kisses to support their crack addiction.

"David Fowler, president of the Family Action Council of Tennessee, which pushed the bill, told Reuters the law does not ban kissing or holding hands from discussion in sex education classes. But he said it addresses the touching of certain "gateway body parts," including genitals, buttocks, breasts and the inner thigh.

But wouldn't it be more helpful to tell kids that they SHOULDN'T engage in "gateway" activities instead of pretending they aren't there?

I guess I'm going to have to turn the slippery slope argument back on them for once.

What's next? If we start using the force of law for policing young peoples sexual behavior how is that any different that the morality police and Sharia law? Are we really proposing to go down that slippery slope. Will we have a police force armed with Riders Crops beating young people in the parks and movie theaters for holding hands. It's the beginning of Sharia Law I tell you! Sharia LAW!

A spokesman at one of their forums has put out the idea that maybe we need to punish people for having sex before marriage. I guess a big "F" tatooed on their forehead for "fornicator" is what they have in mind. You can't make the stuff up that they keep coming up with.

Another little idea is covenant marriages you cannot get out of or 2 year waiting periods before divorce with state mandated marriage counseling from an approved counselor or pregnancy monitoring since life begins at conception. Even outlawing all family planning is on their little agenda. And it goes on and on.

Gateway sex is probably masturbation, although the term does bring to mind a different thought...and they're right, you shouldn't have gateway sex (defined as "having sex out by the gateway&quot you should go inside first.

And weed is supposedly the big gateway drug, but if you think about it most people who get into serious drugs like cocaine, opiates and meth started out smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol.

But that gateway rock and roll is the worst. Yeah, they eventually turn to the good stuff, but in the meantime we all have to listen to boy bands blaring from teens' car stereos.

They follow Catholic teaching on the subject of sexuality. You are not even supposed to think about sexual activity until you are married. It was common for priest and nuns to admonish children about having "impure" thoughts. Most people do not understand how really extreme these people are. They are as bad as the Taliban except they are not killing people yet.

Tennessee has already passed anti sex laws and Kansas has just passed "personhood". You can count on state where the GOP is in control to pass sexual conduct laws in the future. They want to do it all on the state level. And what we see is just the beginning. Planned Parenthood is under attack in all those state. And anyone who is associated with Planned Parenthood cannot even set foot in a school in some places. They are not allowed to even volunteer.

We really do not want the GOP's version of freedom because it is really totalitarianism with a religious influence. People are afraid to confront them because they "scream freedom of religion". Their version is to inflict their sick ideas on the rest of the nation. And they are succeeding in many ways.
