then I don't have a problem with HP posting that pic and I will condemn him loudly and often and hope he gets prosecuted to the extent the law allows.


BUT, out of all the pics from his FB they could have used, why that one? It seems to me they are trying to smear democrats because, if you read the comments, a LOT of people believe the pic means he is a christian dem.

I can guarantee the right wingers I know will seize on that to smear us and I just hate to be accused of shit I didn't do. I hate for my party to be accused of shit it isn't responsible for. We have enough problems with shit we actually do and I just don't want the extra heap of dung.

I just looked at the comments on the HuffPo aricle (as opposed to the FB page linked in OP) and more of them are noting that this guy isn;t a Dem in any fashion. One even said:

Apparently the car in the photo belongs to Jason Shelton, the Democratic candidate for mayor of Tupelo (according to his Facebook account). Looking at this man's social media, he doesn't appear to identify as a Democrat at all. And I mean AT ALL. But he certainly does identify VERY strongly as a Christian. Thus he is actually mocking the possibility that a Democrat could actually be a Christian, and vice versa.

but I don't see where he got that info so it's just a "poster on website says..." deal.
