Several of my friends reported on facebook that they thought they felt an earthquake.
I was out to dinner with my mother at the time, and we didn't feel anything.

I was watching the local NBC DFW feed since about 9:30 central and they quit broadcasting the news locally about
12:30 central...until the morning

there will be a news conference at 6am central....

But I can tell you right now, the West fire department are volunteers and likely died in the explosion...
probably 5 or 6 men.

probably close to 200 injured....many are burned...

and I have a feeling the number of fatalities could be close to the number of injured....
but I hope I'm wrong.

West is a tiny spot of a town...unless you know the town is there on the east side of the interstate...you think there's just this huge gas station selling Czech style kolaches...but that gas station is a busy tourist spot. But it's a rural farm town, really.
But let me tell you....everybody...and i mean EVERYBODY that travels between DFW and Austin stops there for
Czech Kolaches.

I'm going to have to go to bed, won't be any more news until the morning.
I have a friend that grew up in West...I'm hoping his family is ok...I keep checking for any posts from him on facebook.
