54-46 We Won The Vote - Harry Reid Has To Go!

Yes I know that his Nay vote was procedural and that's not my point. Even with the Blue Dogs we won the up and down vote but thanks to Harry and his "gentlemen's agreement" over filibuster reform it's another defeat at the hands of a smirking Mitch McConnell and his NRA benefactors.

Harry Reid is the worst Majority Leader we could have, especially at this point in time. He's been rolled over by the minority so much he's got tire tracks all over his back! I'm sick of his "expressions of outrage" and "strongly worded reprimands". He's an embarrassment and has to go!

It is time for the Republicans TO GO !!!

Even if all the amendments to the bill had been passed today then the bill still would have died in The House.

Need to get ALL the GOPers out of The Senate AND The House!

Btw, here's a link to ALL the amendments that were rejected today: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/vote_menu_113_1.htm

When you hear this shit about Democrats controlling two branches of government, it's just that: shit. Republicans control the Supreme Court, the House and Senate (through the filibuster) and all we really have is the White House.

15. Would it make you feel better if the bill failed in the House rather than the Senate?

Or are you just looking for a reason to jab at leadership?

Aside from moving on more executive nominees, an issue that could be dealt with separately, what benefit would Reid have in making a drastic move that does nothing but let legislation die in the House as opposed to his own chamber?

17. Had filibusters been limited, this bill would've included concealed-carry reciprocity

That amendment had 57 'YES' votes.

Despite a Democratic majority, the Senate remains a pro gun legislative body. If Senate rules get reformed and only require a simple majority of 51 votes, the NRA would would be able to just write out it's wishlists of what it desires. The House would eagerly go along as well.

No single payer health care, no prosecuting criminal banks, no holding war criminals accountable, no keeping or increasing our Social Security, no cuts in the defense budget, no new gun regulations.
