If not now, when?

There should be no doubt in the minds of any of the current Democratic leadership that without significant filibuster reform, they can all just go home. Nothing resembling progressive legislation will ever escape the snare of nihilistic GOPers abetted by gutless people who ask for Democratic votes and raise Democratic money but display very little loyalty to the principles of their supporters and donors. They are all too willing to sell their vote to K Street or cower before the NRA.

90% of those polled support expanded background checks.
54 Senators wanted to vote for it.
The President of the US begged for an up or down vote.

But a cabal of 46 cowards and ideologues prevented that vote.

So I ask Harry Reid, if now is not the time for abolishing the filibuster, when will it ever be time. I guess it will be after Harry Reid is tossed out by his party or the Democrats lose the Senate because under Harry's leadership, my Congressional party has not shown the will or the ability to lead.

Voting for bills that would be DOA in the House does them little good.
