It makes it easy for these people to convince enough people to vote for them regardless. And they now this!

They're now the best-selling rifle in the US, even before Aurora or Newtown.

They're in use by hunters, weekend plinkers, and competition shooters.

Banning the gun used by X shooter would be like banning pressure cookers because of Boston.

Every time I turn around, there has been another senseless mass shooting, or a suicide, or accident involving guns. I can't step outside my front door without taking my life in my hands. And I am sick unto death of being told that is just the price of doing business -- that nothing can be done. I don't know what it will take, but we have got to get this issue dealt with.

There have been over 3,500 gun deaths in this country since Sandy Hook. We still have a lot of work to do on this issue.

If Senators were receiving calls from their constituents running 9 to 1 in favor of new gun legislation then it would have passed, NRA be damned. That level of support for the legislation obviously wasn't happening.

Oh, and according to Gallup's latest polling only 4% of Americans consider guns/gun control to be the top issue facing the country:

Yep, 1994 it isn't...

given the spate of mass murders lately. But until we get the NRA labeled as the terrorist organization they are, and find a way to keep them from constantly lobbying for the gun manufacturers, we are never going to get effective gun control legislation in this country. I normally avoid gun control arguments because they are a waste of time, but today's events leave me feeling really frustrated about this country and its stupid gun fetish.

in Kentucky who weren't subjected to a background check, showing their photos. Asshole Rand Paul would squawk about being wrongly accused of being complicit in their murder, but who gives a fuck what this asswipe thinks.
