IF all the Dems and the four GOPers had voted 'yes' it would have only been 59.

Reid after knowing it was down, changed his vote, thereby with the procedural rules,
he can later bring it back.
But he was voting for the bill.(So it would have been 60).

Otherwise Cornyn's national concealed carry reciprocity amendment would have passed (57-43) as well as some other pro-gun amendments.
