*snicker*: House GOP campaign pulls support for Mark Sanford

The House GOP's campaign committee said Wednesday it will not be helping former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford in his comeback bid for Congress.

"Mark Sanford has proven he knows what it takes to win elections," said Andrea Bozek, a spokeswoman for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC). "At this time, the NRCC will not be engaged in this special election."

The decision to withhold financial support from Sanford comes a day after the revelation that Jenny Sanford, the former governor's ex-wife, has accused him of trespassing at her home in violation of their divorce settlement.
