Boston bomb suspect in custody - report
http://tvnz.co.nz/world-news/boston-bomb-suspect-in-custody-report-5409791
The twin blasts on Monday killed three people, including an eight-year-old boy, and injured 176 others.
The Boston Globe reported that an official briefed on the Boston Marathon bombing investigation said today that authorities have an image of a suspect carrying, and perhaps dropping, a black bag at the second bombing scene on Boylston Street, outside of the Forum restaurant.
CNN says footage from a Lord and Taylor department store security camera and video taken by a local television station helped authorities in their investigation.

FBI statement: No arrests
The FBI released this statement in response to the flurry of contradictory reports regarding an arrest:
Contrary to widespread reporting, there have been no arrests made in connection with the Boston Marathon attack. Over the past day and a half, there have been a number of press reports based on information from unofficial sources that has been inaccurate. Since these stories often have unintended consequences, we ask the media, particularly at this early stage of the investigation, to exercise caution and attempt to verify information through appropriate official channels before reporting.

Police and reporters were gathered at the courthouse on news that a suspect in the marathon bombings that killed three people and wounded more than 170 had been identified and was in custody.
A bomb threat may have been called in.

Apparently a threat only so far, situation ongoing as building is checked.
As to what is true and what is manipulation of the situation remains in constant flux, it seems. No intense urgency noted at scene.
ON EDIT all clear at Courthouse.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57579984/investigators-focus-on-possible-suspect-in-marathon-images/
Updated at 3:16 p.m. ET
At the site of what became the second explosion on Monday, surveillance video captured a white man placing a backpack on the ground while talking on a cell phone, sources told CBS News correspondent Bob Orr.
The man was wearing a black jacket, a grey hooded sweatshirt and a white or off-white baseball cap backwards. He is 6 feet or 6-feet-2-inches tall with a medium build.
Authorities are seeking the man either as a witness or as a possible suspect.

(549 posts)FBI has identified a POTENTIAL suspect. Found him after going over all the images submitted by people in the area. Still no name.
It doesn't sound like we will see the picture until they find the guy. They don't want to tip him off, which is a shame because I bet some of the Internet groups could ID him in an hour.
