Exceptions might be female Palestinian suicide bombers and the like.

But, usually male. Yep. Wonder why that is.

Most of us figure out how to channel its effects into constructive or at least neutral activities by our late 20s or early 30s. Some never figure it out, and it rules their behavior.

But I'm not as surprised. It doesn't seem like this was a professional attack. No surprise this guy let himself get captured on video. Plus there were security and personal cameras everywhere.

From analysis of Lord & Taylor CCTV surveillance footage, corroborated by local Boston TV station footage.

They ought to be looking for persons who bought pressure cookers, though.

It's a bulky item and someone should have bought two pretty locally.

I sure hope this investigation doesn't end up like the Atlanta thing. I know everyone would heave a sigh of relief to hear someone had been arrested, but narrowing down the investigation too soon can be a huge mistake.

I am caught between the hope that the evil idiot who packed a bomb with metal fragments to maximize his/her yucks has been identified and the fear that a plausible lead will divert the investigation from the real perp.

It's paradoxical, but I'd feel better if there were less leaks?

Pete Williams just referenced what "others are reporting" and said that the information they have is that investigators have zeroed in on some suspects. They are making progress and narrowing it down, but haven't set their sights on one person.

John King, CNN, is citing 2 separate sources. Guess we'll have to wait for the briefing at 5pm.
