The Reagan/Thatcher kind of conservatism has pretty much destroyed both countries. And conservatives in both the US and GB pretty much want to keep it that way. Economic stagnation and erosion is their legacy.

As far as I am concerned unless we and the British end conservative death grip the future of both countries is in doubt. That is because all they did was guarantee that the rich pretty much rule at the expense of everyone else.

All we get with both revolutions is high unemployment, work instability and lowering wages. And the economic anemia will continue for the next 30 years and beyond.
