Leaning against a retaining wall at a mall. The cops were happy, mall security...not so much.

I think there should have been more officers and plainclothes police on the sidewalks, NOT watching the runners, but the crowd--just like Secret Service. Otherwise, I don't have a problem with officials hoping ordinary citizens are alert to trouble--it's worked in the past.
