Dedicated thread in Good News for Boston-related stories of human kindness & goodness

There are already so many uplifting stories coming out of this tragedy that I thought it would be good to gather them in one place.

I invite you to join us in this new group and share stories there as well, including cross posting from GD and other areas here at DU.

New neighbors exchange grunts and only realize slowly that they've actually become friends and are looking out for each other. The sense of community in the Boston neighborhoods is very, very strong and there's great appreciation for oddballs.

It's why I loved living there and will always miss it.

I'm not surprised that people jumped in to aid using the numbers around their necks, their shirts, their shoelaces, and whatever else they had on them to try to stop bleeding and aid the injured. That's just the way Boston is.
