I support President Obama, I just disagree with some

of his policy decisions. People have the idea that because I disagree with Obama on some things, yes, it pisses me off that SS is on the table, that I just don't support him.

I'm married to a very beautiful human being, very loving wife. We support each other in many ways, but that doesn't mean we don't have our disagreements. Just because I disagree with her doesn't mean I won't support her.

So please stop equating disagreeing with not supporting. It's just that the President is dead wrong on SS, among other things, like drone strikes, for example, I disagree with him on those, but I'll support him in other issues.

Who here on DU supports Obama 100% on every issue?

I thought it meant voting for him. Assuming I already voted for him what is the other support he needs at this point? I usually don't support his policies because they seem Republican to me.

Anything short of that is nearly treasonous.

Be wary of them. They will always overlook the difference and swear you make a loyalty oath or leave the site.

I support or oppose policies. Not politicians or parties. I usually vote for Democrats because their policies are usually better than what the Republicans offer. If they merely mirror Republican policies I look elsewhere.

Now it seems if you disagree with some one the default emotion is you have to hate them to their core, at least thats the way it is if you are a republican..

Yes I am angry with him on the Chained CPI issue, and a few other issues as well.

It doesn't mean I dislike the man or disagree with every thing he has done.

I applaud him for the Lily Ledbetter act, coming out in favor of Gay Marriage, his work on immigration, etc.

Also I applaud his love for his daughters and he truly looks at Michelle like she is his world. Those have nothing to do with how he does his job as President of course its just qualities I find admirable.

I just feel as far as the economy and on some other domestic issues he is too conservative leaning.

He is making a habit of acting like a Republican. I cannot bring myself to supporting a Republican.
