The Westboro Baptist Church (“WBC”) announced that they will be picketing the funerals of the victims of yesterday’s bombings in Boston.

Designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, WBC is characterized on their SPLC page as “arguably the most obnoxious and rabid hate group in America.”

WBC first made the announcement on their Twitter page posting:

BREAKING: Westboro Baptist Church to picket funerals of those dead by Boston Bombs! GOD SENT THE BOMBS IN FURY OVER FAG MARRIAGE! #PraiseGod
