Update on the man in the wheelchair with his legs blown off

(I'm sorry. I didn't know how to put that more delicately) being aided by peace activist/hero Carlos Arredondo:

That man is named Jeff Bauman Jr. and is reportedly in stable condition. Thanks to a combination of social media, Reddit, and Google People Finder we've found out that he's in stable condition. One of his friends posted an update on Reddit:

I'm seeing reports that the casualty rate is up to three. I assume it was one of the people at ground zero.

A doctor bystander who was on the scene said that a woman he attempted to help expired, but he could not find any wound and did no know why she died. She may have been close enough to have been killed by blast.

I'm thankful the man is alive, but I cry for the sorrow, the pain, and the difficult journey that he has ahead of him.

I hold his family and friends (as well as all the victims) in my thoughts and prayers.

Hope he pulls through.

There was an emergency room doctor who happened to be sitting near him in the spectator stands and this was the first person he helped. The ER doc was amazingly unharmed and helped many people. Carlos carried him to an ambulance. Thank goodness for the wonderful people who came to his aid so quickly and saved his life.

I wish him the best.
