To say nothing of organized crime. Hell, Whitey Bulger could walk around Castle Island not too many years ago.
There's very little we know at this point; the only times my first guess about a terrorist attack has been right were the iconic Al Qaeda ones (African embassy bombings, USS Cole, and 9/11, and that's mostly because I was doing security in the Marines at those times, plus the AQ signature is pretty unmistakable -- and, I would add, that signature is not in this attack).
Yes, this is a RWNJ heavy week. But it's also the day before the Virginia Tech anniversary, and it's near the Columbine anniversary; both of those seem to have been Bakunin-style propaganda of the deed, which is pretty much the other end of the political spectrum. (And remember, Harris and Klebold had hoped to kill more people with their bombs than with guns, though the bombs ended up not working.)
Guessing is fun and all, but if you're "sure" of something, you should probably pay more attention.
