On days like these, I hope nobody begrudges police and firefighters their pay, pensions.

I feel a little tacky for bringing it up so soon, but it's only because there are those who attack our public service professionals on a regular basis that we need to advocate for them at moments like this. Not just by giving them our moral support, but by vowing to give them our financial support as well.

I mean really. How serious are these people about their public pensions walking around all those bombs, screaming people, little kids, blood? How can they possibly defend their need for health care, disability and what all?
