CNN: North Korea says it won't warn South Korea before an attack

North Korea says it won't warn South Korea before an attack
(CNN) -- North Korea has upped the temperature on its neighbors, warning in a new threat that it would not give any advance notice before attacking South Korea.

"Our retaliatory action will start without any notice from now," Pyongyang said in a statement published Tuesday by its official news agency, KCNA.

North Korea said it was responding to what it called insults from the "puppet authorities" in the South, claiming that there had been a rally against North Korea in Seoul.

It called the rally a "monstrous criminal act."

The renewed threats came a day after North Koreans celebrated the birthday of their country's founder, Kim Il Sung, who launched the Korean War.

It would be nice if North Korea wisely decided to de-fuel their ballistic missiles and remove them from the launch pads. Surely, there has to be one person in the North Korean defense structure who realizes this is probably not going to be the best week to fuck with America (or the rest of the world for that matter) anymore than it already has.

Just sayin'

He has kept a very low profile in the past few weeks which is somewhat worrisome.

I'd do everything possible to save as many NK citizens as possible. What happens after that, well, there would be no more threat from NK...just sayin'. I have less than zero tolerance, at the moment.

...and threatening to go out on the lawn whether mama says they can or not.

They inch up to that goddamned door and the whole time they're looking at mom and dad. Hand reaches up to grab the knob to turn it- looking at mom and dad. Pulling the door slooooooowly open- and there might as well be a T-Rex just outside- because all they're doin' is looking at mom and dad.

And then it goes too far, and there's the symbolic through-the-diaper swat on the butt and the tears of indignation.

It's freakish and chilling in the extreme to see similar tactics used on a national level, potentially with nuclear weapons involved.

It's surreal. It's phantasmagoric. It's both of those multiplied by a factor of absurd.

How do you keep giving someone attention, without giving too much or too little? How do you get a dictator to admit they are wrong, before all their citizens die from starvation? Without pissing them off so much that they remain apathetic?

His generals look very thin...that cannot be a good thing.

They warn them repeatedly that they're going to attack then say that they're not going to warn them.
