Given the level of media at the finish line of a Boston Marathon, the number of cell phone cameras, the communicative potential of the internet, the high level of public interest and what is, by all eyewitness accounts, a truly ghastly and traumatic crime scene, there will be some very disturbing images posted in places on the net.

And that's as it should be. (Big ACLU liberal here.)

But on DU, please remember to include a warning in the headline, to be considerate of others.

While I am not a fan of censorship, and sometimes real images of horror can help people understand things, I know many people with issues of PTSD etc who can be triggered in bad, bad ways by times like this, videos, photos, etc.

So I support this message wholeheartedly. Please be considerate, DUers! There are hundreds of people looking at these threads.
