I will tell you this much re: the Boston bombing...

That particular part of Boston - the finish line area of the Boston Marathon - is the single most videotaped block in the city on this day. Whoever left these things got their pictures taken from twelve different angles, and God fucking help them when they are exposed.

He said that many people are carrying around gym bags for this event, and it's going to be very hard to tell from videos who is putting down a bag with an explosive device and who is just putting down a bag to talk or rest.

I've never been to the Boston Marathon. Never interested me.
What kind of security procedures do they normally do as opposed to what they should have done prior to today's tragedy?

to view all of that footage trying to pick out who may have visited those spots.
I have free time and would happily volunteer to watch some hours of tape.

The mindset is dehumanizing both of the victims and of the self. Only "the cause" is important. That's one thing that makes it so incredibly hard to control. Death penalty? Martyrdom.

Justice is important, finding charging and then imprisoning those that kill is the only way, I know of to try to maintain a civilization where it's made know that life is not cheap it's precious and every attempt will be made, each and every time, to see justice done.

Just as important is to find out who, what and if possible where to watch to prevent any more attacks that may be planned in an attempt to protect life.

Destruction of innocent people for any reason anywhere makes me doubt humanity, life has become so cheap on this planet, and all too often those responsible will never face justice.

Maybe they want to make sure the explosion was videotaped and that all Americans got to see it.
