W. Bush: "I'm comfortable with what I did"

Former President George W. Bush reflected on his tenure in the White House during an interview with the Dallas Morning News published Sunday, saying that he was comfortable with his decision-making regarding the Iraq War.

"I'm confident the decisions were made the right way," Bush explained. "It's easy to forget what life was like when the decision was made."

...Speaking to the Morning News of the legacy that the library is meant to honor, Bush suggested he had few regrets.

"I'm comfortable with what I did," he said. "I'm comfortable with who I am."

It's easy to forget what life was like when the decision was made... What the fucking fuck???

Yeah, it was awful. Fox news was going 24/7 with fake terror news. We had some bizarre Fisher-Price color coded system... the WH Press secretary saying people had to 'watch what they say'... total hysteria.

An environment created by, nurtured by the RW for political gain.

It was not what the world was like. It was the world Bush created, intentionally... for the purpose of castigating political enemies and to make things like Iraq possible.

people need a padded White House, for the emotionally challenged, priviledged men who are given Presidencies by their friends and family.

They could pretend all they wanted about being omnipotent, yet do little to no harm in the real world.

The decision to wage war on Iraq was made before he ever entered the White House. Read the books of Paul O'Neill (his first Sec of Treas) and/or Scott McClelland (his first Press Secretary) about the initial days of his swearing in, or look at the maps obtained by FOIA from Judicial Watch in which Cheney's famous secret energy meeting where Cheney & the secret participants divided up the Iraqi oil fields in MARCH of 2001. Read any of PNAC's documents and hundreds of other sources.

If there is a hell, Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld will burn in it.

"I didn't want to sleep down there because I knew I needed to be rested for the next day, and the bed looked horrible. Harry Truman must have bought the bed. It was one of those pullouts with a metal bar in the middle. I was envisioning Laura and I kind of fighting for the soft space."

It was the greatest foreign policy blunder in American history. That's Bill Odom, General Odom, who died. What did we do? We attacked, invaded and occupied a country which did not threaten us, did not want war with us, did not attack us, to do what? To deprive it of weapons it did not even have.
