I had dinner with Helen Thomas again last night

For those few who don't know, Helen has been a family friend for nearly half a century. She was a close colleague of my father, who was also a Washington-based print journalist of the old school.

Rather than a detailed post here, I'll be preparing a text to PM to anyone interested. This one will be different.

I think that it is so awesome you know her. I don't know anyone personally who has such fabulous credentials but a couple of my close girlfriends have worked for and know, Bethine Church. Our oldest daughter was about 10 (she is 26 now). Helen stopped and talked with us for about a 1/2 hour. It was one of those truly amazing moments.
