Justin Bieber hopes Anne Frank would have been a Belieber

http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2013/04/14/bieber-leaves-message-for-anne-frank.html

This is not an Onion news item. Justin Bieber visited the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam this weekend, and signed the museum’s guestbook before he left. The note he left must be seen to be beliebed: “Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.” The Anne Frank House posted the note on its official Facebook page, which has detailed celebrity visits before, so this all appears to be real. Now for a good Sunday read, head to Twitter where the mocking of Bieber has commenced.

...usually don't encompass the "flavor of the month" you hear on all those syrupy Top 40 stations with the autotuned singers and no-talent wannabees.

Right now, I'm listening to the likes of Comus, Raising Holy Sparks, Ulver, and United Bible Studies. The road less travelled is sometimes much more rewarding.

there were a small number of "leave justin aloooooooone" whines there, basically saying that anybody who criticized this insensitive, self-absorbed, clueless, ignorant twit was spewing hate.

First the overpriced "teen ATM" card thing and now THIS? He's quite a piece of work. I've maintained a chilly neutrality toward his cultural presence, but this is all too much.

Hard to believe our children have got to the point where they know every single thing Bieber does, but have never heard of Anne Frank.

He's not denying the horror of what happened. His response was rather fluffy for our serious attitudes, but it only takes a few minutes of FNC to hear a LOT worse coming out of politicians and "reporters" - the people who are supposed to be serious and thoughtful.
