Is it better to make an informed decision, or one based on as little information as possible?
Which type of decision making affects, hurts or helps, more people?

(11,441 posts)My home is paid for, and between investments, Social Security and some inheritance, I should be OK when the time comes. But I know there are way too many seniors who rely ONLY on Social Security. And I've been paying into it for over 30 years; damn straight I'm "self-interested" in seeing that money.
Find another fucking way to reach a budget agreement without taking from seniors OR children. And stop being such a sucker, willing to roll over in the name of "austerity". Kee-rist, with some of the "Democrats" I'm seeing on this board lately, women wouldn't have the right to vote, blacks would still be sitting at the back of the bus, and children would be working in the mines.
