It's supposed to cover the expenses of working over so many miles away from home. Anybody know and how much it is? That's on top of their salary.

I've forgotten the exact year, but per diem ended when they were barred from receiving

Free health insurance
Free life insurance
Full pay pension after just one term in office

payments. Minnesota does, and it's a much-abused perk.
