Which is why I have ZERO TOLERANCE for anyone in government who says the American people must sacrifice, lose SS benefits, cut back even more than they have. "Shared sacrifice" I think it's been called.

When are the oil companies, making record profits for years, going to share in the sacrifice? The American taxpayers fund the profits of the oil companies, banks, and other major corporations--all of which are doing exceedingly well right now. If they can't make a profit on their own, without corporate welfare from the government and taxpayers, they should go out of business.

I don't care who it is, Obama, Pelosi, whoever--they are all aware of this, and as long as they allow this corporate welfare to take place, allow tax loopholes to stand that allow corporations to pay zero taxes, allow loopholes so America's wealthiest families can keep more of their wealth and pay less as a percentage than everyone else--as long as this is ignored and not addressed, they will not have my support on anything that takes more from the middle class or those in need.

No bankers have been prosecuted for crashing the economy, no one has been held responsible for the loss of jobs, homes, savings, investments, or anything else. People who illegally had their homes foreclosed will now get around $1,000 for their loss. This is bullcrap. It will continue, until we get the money out of our politics and elections.

They might as well make the American middle class stand in the street and get physically beaten by their representatives, because that's essentially what they're doing.

the tax loopholes and oil co. subsidies still exist. But what I can't understand is the acceptance of the discussion's starting point which is the so-called "entitlement programs" have to change without bringing it back around to unless and until the some fairness to the wealthiest people and corporations are put into place, don't even to talk to me about my social security or medicare benefits should be cut after I have paid into it all my life. That is why it is called an entitlement! I am entitled to it because I paid in to it. It is not a subsidized taxpayer program like subsidizing the oil companies so they will explore for more toxic oil and gas to hasten our planet's demise.

Unfortunately so many people NEED the absolute hero worship of someone in office to get through each awful day of their crumby livers. Ironically, if they weren't supporting fascists, they wouldn't have crumby lives - they would have decent ones. They could be their own heroes.

and the argument that Slander is not an allowable form of speech is bullshit. For Slanser to apply, the applicable statement has to be DEMONSTRABLY FALSE. Exxon can't prove that it DOESN'T hate my children, therefore, Exxon can go fuck themselves. And so can their prosecuters. If I were considering running that ad on a station, and Exxon threatened me, that would make up my mind FOR me. I would air that sucker, with a perosnal disclaimer saying I originally wasen't sure, and then Exxon tried to scare me.

The rules might not be convenient, but it is slander.

It is your opinion, perhaps mine, but the FCC could find stations.

That said, social media baby, the FCC rules don't apply. That said, I cannot guarantee FB will let it be.

I had to edit this congress tax payer give away from millions to billions for the oil company....

Now I realize that austerity is really just another made up burden for the poor and working people to carry.... Their is no way we can give this amount away if we were so much in debt.....

They get it mostly for "exploration". (As if they wouldn't drill without it.)

They've already mapped the planet and know where the oil is at. Republicans act like there are endless untapped oil fields out there yet to be discovered like the endless Edgar Rice Burroughs lost civilizations in Africa. (Someone once compiled a list of all of his lost civilizations as described and found Africa didn't have the room for all of them to fit.)

I see companies putting out cars that are energy efficient. But they cost 50k or more. I have never spent more than 10k for a car. In fact the last two cars I have purchased were under 5k.

Solar panels are a great Idea too but again they are not cheap. Going Green cost a lot of money.

I live within my means I don't use credit cards. I buy used for everything from furniture to clothing to cars. I am even beginning to grow my own food.

I like saving money not spending it.

The only way to beat Exxon is to start creating things that are not Exxon Dependent. But they have to be affordable. Not everyone can afford a 50k all electric car, and still feed their kids.

I would love it if someone created a legitimate converter. That would convert a gasoline engine to an alternative fuel engine. Is that possible?

I have seen conversion videos on YouTube, but I don't know if they are real or fake.

If it can be done, We could begin to eliminate our daily need for companies like Exxon. Because people could convert their existing vehicles and not have to go into debt buying a green energy car.

Have local High School shop classes do them. You could take your car in and they would convert it to electric for a nominal cost. They would discover tricks along the way to increase power and range kinda like in the 50s when they were converting old T-buckets into hot rods.

The weight of the trailer and the batteries is going to cut down your range. It is going to take more power to pull them. I don't know how much you are going to gain. That is why the diesel pusher is a cool idea.

....or a train,...or a grocery cart for that matter. It's easier to pull or push something on it's own wheels than it is to carry it yourself. Once underway it tens to stay in motion. You only experience trouble on grades.

It's possible we could see pickups on hills some day. Either "third rail" or overhead.

which has a higher concentration of energy by weight. 10 gallons of diesel weighs around 75lbs. That 75lbs will power a Rabbit diesel for approximately 500 miles. There is no battery available(weighing 75lbs) that will power a similar sized car that distance. There are also losses in the trailer due to gravity and friction even on flat surfaces.
