Paul Ryan On Abortion: 'We Want A Country Where It Isn't Even Considered'

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Paul Ryan, the Republican vice presidential nominee in 2012 and an abortion opponent, said Thursday that anti-abortion activists should try to build a broad coalition and find common ground with supporters of abortion rights as a way to advance their agenda.

Ryan, R-Wis., said in a speech to the Susan B. Anthony List that those who oppose abortion "need to work with people who consider themselves pro-choice – because our task isn't to purge our ranks. It's to grow them."

"We don't want a country where abortion is simply outlawed. We want a country where it isn't even considered," he said.

I think that the notion of "a country where it isn't even considered" is an excellent ideal to strive for. And the way to achieve that ideal is by doing everything the exact opposite of how you are doing things. We need to go 180 degrees from the "CONservative" way of governing.

That means tripling the minimum wage, Universal Healthcare, very high taxes on the wealthy, a social safety net with such a tight mesh, that nobody will ever slip through. And a million other things along those lines.

It means making this country so totally socialist, as to make the Scandinavian countries look like Somalia.

So, Congressman... I'm all for it! Let's do this thing! Let's remake this society into a socialist paradise, so that nobody will even want to consider abortion!

Why is it such a big deal to a group of men? I can understand most things politicians do, but on this I'm stymied; there's no money to be made suppressing reproductive rights. Why put so much effort into something that is not going to enhance your wealth?

some magic and/or thought control, ey?

Is Ryan giving away a master plan for theocratic thought-control hyper-holy implants or something?

That's not a politician in a modern sense, that's the voice and thinking of a tyrant.

And what will they do with all the children? I mean, the implication and potential is that birth control is next. Just how many wage slaves and private prisoners do these people want in their fruitful multiplication plan? Just not enough neo-Serfs?

Is he a minion for fulfilling the wet dreams of the oligarchical, pluto-gods, perhaps? Maybe its a rush when you have a megalopolis of teaming masses crawling over each other, reproducing like cockroaches, crying out with hunger and in deprivation whilst serving a rich few who live in gated communities, or soon, silicon castles protected by alligator drones and death rays.

My personal opinion is that it is almost cruel and selfish and not too bright to bring children into the world these days when the odds against them are so very bad from the condition of the environment to the real probability that they will be increasingly enslaved in a grim, dystopian future designed and run like a bad video game by the wealthy recipients of the plundering that is going on. The kids of these rich will have even better toys than luxury cars, jets, yachts, mansions, etc. We are being swallowed in a hi-tech, psychopathic fantasy come true.

Too much kochery going on for my taste.
