Well, we were worried for nothing.

You see, Social Security has already been cut when the retirement age was raised. Then when it began to be taxed on higher incomes (of above 34,000 dollars a year), that was another cut. Both of these cuts were sponsored or approved by Democrats. So no bigee.

Given that, more cuts are no problemo. Even if this one is not a cut. Got it?

So says Lawrence.

I think I'm about done with MSNBC.

But I don't think I want to see it again. I just happened to be flipping through the channels when I saw it. I had already pretty much decided to stop watching his show.

Listen to the blowhard doing his Rush Limbaugh impression agitating for the moral righteousness of a Libya war. I've never heard anything so disgusting in my life, not even from Rush Limbaugh himself because at least Limbaugh didn't claim to be a "progressive" while engaged in his Limbaugh thing:

Ed Schultz Gets Pounded Into The Ground On Libya By Jeremy Scahill

You tell me whether you think Ed's soliloquy contains any more thought than those of the extreme right wing warmongers who invented the Iraq War whole cloth. Get past how many times he says "as an American". Listen to the pretexts he uses to justify US war on Libya. Listen to the cheap rhetoric that that he turns into an attack aimed at Jeremy Scahill, as if that kind of cheap attack rhetoric were worthy of an argument in favor of war.

That's one video I'll NEVER forget.

14. Scahill is not treated fairly at all by anybody in the corporate media.

I saw him on the Daily Show. Stewart dropped Scahill's book on the floor, and just continued the interview.

The Daily Show is not live. Start the interview over, treat it with the respect that the subject matter demands.

The only place he'll get a fair shake is on Democracy Now!

18. A warmongering Limbaugh is very much like a warmongering Schultz.

Maybe someone well trained in the forensic science of audio analysis could distinguish their quacking and distinguish which breed of duck, but I can't. And in this interview Schultz certainly didn't bring anything like reason into play. He had no argument except "Gaddafi killed Americans" (Lockerbie 1988 - like a time release capsule exploding in Ed Schultz's brain 23 years after the fact, just in time to promote this war). So his interview is totally down to Limbaugh's standards. There's NO difference on that front. What about pure heat? On that front Schultz seemed a bit more dishonest than Limbaugh, but then that might just be because Limbaugh has had more practice? Myself, I think they're equally practiced but Limbaugh is just better at it.

Or can you show me even one fucking sentence of Schultz's warmongering rant that supposedly justified the war he was fomenting, or one sentence that responded in a reasonable construction to Jeremy Scahill's statements?

You have the sources, so go for it.

Or reduced if I go before 67.5. It is the truth.

Nobody cared then. Am I wrong or is someone trying to move the carrot out a little farther?
