"Okay you cut SS benefits. We'll give you a big jobs program." HA!

That is the fatal flaw in Obama's negotiating tactics.

He really thinks that the GOP is going to give him apples they are inflexibly opposed to simply because he offers an orange that is a fundamental belief of his own party?

Ha.

Either President Obama really thinks like a Republican on certain issues and wants to see the kind of shit he proposes -- Or else he is wayyyyyyy toooooo naive and trusting.

If it is the latter, then I'd suggest he needs to start playing simple checkers instead of 99 Dimensional chess.

I don't particularly enjoy the president using a program that has my money in it as his poker chip to "bluff" the other party.

I'm really annoyed and exhausted by the childish washington political games.

and have never voted for anything but a Democrat. I always knew as sure as the sun was coming up in the morning Democrats would protect the vulnerable and the values that Democrats have stood for. Now? I'm lost here.

I've always supported and identified with the Democrats as much closer to my values than the GOP

But I lost my faith in the commitment and/or ability of the Democrats in power to uphold those values a long time ago. Somewhere in the Clinton era.

...overseas.

That was the argument for "trickle down." The Repubs and their Dem enablers can't even come up with a new lie! They have to use the same one.

As the saying goes: "Fool me once..."
