Liberty University Professor: Atheists Want To Finish The Job Started On 9/11

An evangelical lawyer and professor from Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University on Wednesday warned that atheists were trying to “finish the job” that terrorists started when they attacked the United States on Sept. 11, 2011.

On Wednesday’s Faith and Freedom broadcast from Liberty Counsel, host Matt Starver and Liberty University law professor Shawn Akers celebrated a recent Southern District of New York court decision that said a pair of World Trade Center beams in the shape of a cross could be included in a memorial museum.

“If you think about the irony of what they’re saying, is that extremists from one religion brought down the Twin Towers, but the atheists are coming in to finish the job,” Akers explained. “Miraculously this perfect cross survived and people got hope from that, but now these atheists have come in and literally filed charges to try to bring this thing down.”

“We have very successfully gone into an age of religious McCarthyism, where we are seeking out religion as a nation to eradicate it in very forthright ways,” he opined.

in a world of delusions.

Disillusionment and disenchantment are bright beacons on the road to freedom.

The cage of beliefs and the cage of concepts are transparent and ubiquitous until you apply yourself carefully in an effort to see that this is so.

Meanwhile, no commentary, reaction or refutation is necessary for the OP since it is only part and parcel of how emotional and psychological manipulations by way of abstraction work.

That Professor knows how to play the game, just as many others do. When you see into it, then you can start to move on from sticks and stones to real bones and that's where the world changes in natural and amazing ways without much effort other than some insight and wisdom.

They got you as a child, so consider that and how it has gone since they did. This is only a continuation of the same old thing. The winners want to take all. Are you willing to give it again and again?

believe and speak such asinine things? Only 2 possibilities that I see. Either they don't believe what they say but say it with an ulterior motive... or... there is a wedge in their personality that keeps them from seeing reality. Could that wedge be religion?

If they are smarter than a baboon they would see these statements are ludicrous. A lawyer? A professor? That at least means they can read and write and I call that intelligent and educated.

Seriously though, that's my point. This guy was smart enough the get a degree and pass the bar. So I would say there are only 2 reasons I can think of that he would make such stupid statements... see above.

or got in trouble for graduating too many law students that were failing the bar? The Bush admin. hired a bunch of them.

There was something going on that was underhanded. Rotten memory.

But there was something that happened around the time the Bush administration was caught sending emails through a system in another state...I think it was the same one that was suspected of "counting" the votes from Ohio. There was a big kerfuffle about all the law students his administration had hired and they were trying to get them out of testifying. I just can't remember the details.

Maybe a search for Liberty U, Bush Admin. and Liberty law graduates testifying might bring up something. Rove was involved.

You'll find a lot of sites discussing their accreditation, law school, different levels of accreditation from other universities, etc. It's out there, somewhere!

These groups and this "university" have a habit of putting "freedom" or "liberty" into their names, when their goals are to RESTRICT liberties of people they don't like, gays, Muslims, atheists, etc.
