Here's THE Ad: Seniors would see smaller Social Security checks under Obama budget

That headline. Simple, clear. No talk of chained CPI or cost of living substitutions. Just that one scary statement. Hell, you don't even need ominous music. Just a sweet senior citizen couple looking worried over a pile of bills.

And that folks, is why even if the President is playing super douper double time 3 dimensional inter-galactic chess, this was a bad idea.

And for the record, I think he thinks this is acceptable policy.

I don't care how many dimensions of chess he's playing its now all over the news that he wants to cut medicare and social security. This hurts any Democrats up for re-election.

the Prez is saying hes favoring their side.

Seriously, making it all that much worse.

Going away for awhile because I can't handle reading about this fraud of a man and all of the harm he is doing to the sick and elderly and other people relying on their benefits. It is not much but for some it is all they have to rely upon. Does the great Obama realize this?

The annual changes are estimated to be somewhere in the vicinity of 0.1 percent to 0.3 percent per year.

Yes, it looks bad to cut anything especially from the elderly, but somehow somewhere changes have to be made.

I'm thinking this proposal will finally push Congress to come to its senses and do something about the national debt by embracing new tax revenue.

Absolutely, I wish Pres. Obama hadn't gone there but, he did. I don't know all the ins and outs of his thinking...maybe it'll all come out in the wash.
