Miss Jackson knocks on upstairs neighbor's door, of which it is implied she is a prostitute:

"Miss, do you have oregano?"

"Oh my God no, I was tested for it just last week!!!"

Jackson was born in Birkenhead on the Wirral, Cheshire where her father was a bricklayer.[2] Jackson was educated at the West Kirby County Grammar School for Girls, then worked for two years in a Boots chemist shop, before studying at RADA in Bloomsbury.[2]

She did not inherit wealth. She uses what she has earned to fight the corporate monster. Good for her.

I wish that more people who earned two Academy Awards and millions making movies would advocate for the poor and for the middle class as she does.

It isn't just a matter of how much you have. It's what you do with what you have. Glenda Jackson serves in parliament, representing those who do not have what she has. She speaks on the behalf of ordinary Britons. Good for her.

What moral courage! What a wonderful voice!

She is the proof of what I am always saying about politicians.

They need to study voice and diction. Glenda Jackson is a pleasure to listen to. And a very elegant, beautiful lady. And yes, I'm a woman, and I will mention her appearance. She has the elegance that comes with moral courage and love of fellow man.

This is a video to watch.

That made my day. Thank you.

Can you imagine what would have happened if a Democrat had had the spine (I dream) to stand on the floor of the House when Ronnie died and tell the truth about him? (Maybe one did, but the U.S. media would never tell us.)

You have to admire all the Brits for not feeling the need to shed crocodile tears and the British media for covering all opinions being expressed over the last couple days.

Hear! Hear! This speech not only described the "Iron Lady," but Ronald Reagan as well. When vices such as materialism, avarice, and greed were viewed as virtues. An "aspirational society."
A time when we new the price of everything, but the VALUE on nothing! And when Glenda spoke of the hospitals, where patients laid on cots in the halls? Guess what? I have a niece who is a registered nurse with a Masters who works in NYC right now, today, where patients lie on gurneys in the halls!!!! And the mentally ill? Ronald Reagan did the same thing here in this country with the Mentally ill... Mental institutions were closed down, the Mental Health Association...does it even exist anymore??? And the mental health patients were dumped out onto the streets! This, after Roslynn Carter did such a wonderful job on behalf of the mentally ill and mental institutions in this country. Yes, there is nothing good that we can say of Margaret Thatcher OR Ronald Reagan.

They honestly believe the lower classes have NOTHING of value to contribute to society.

It's the classic "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?" argument taken to the next logical step that non-rich people are all stupid.

Gawd that movie was funny, and she had some brilliant lines.

"You're making my dog very nervous. He detests the smell of stupidity."

"An American without ice in his drink is unthinkable, if not unconstitutional!"

"Don't look at me like that, no!"
