Obama Willing To Cough Up Seniors For A Grand Bargain As Long As He Gets Revenue - No Deal

If Obama insists on his delusional Grand Bargain that coughs up seniors with cuts in Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid he will ignite a civil war with progressives in the Democratic party and divide it. As senior and veteran I did not vote for him to use either as a bargaining chip to bargain with Republicans.

We all know how well such strategy worked for Clinton when he bargained with Republicans over NAFTA and other GOP initiatives. He forced Dems to vote for NAFTA to start with and they lost the House after 40 years of power. And it has not been the same ever since. And the middle class has been trashed as well with favored nation status, Telecom 96, welfare deform, and GATT.

These safety net cuts should have never been on the table ever in the first place. Just to mention them in the mix still gives the GOP talking points.

They just don't want to pay back what they borrowed & they want to open the door to privatize it so their hedge fund friends can make a killing using our retirement accounts to create a new bubble. Our elected officials, of course, will get the inside scoop on how to invest & The People will get the shaft, once again.

Obama is no democrat. Very few in our party are. 2014 is going to be a bloodbath if he doesn't stop talking this shit. Fuck him.

The center piece of Barak Obama is his "One America" speech in 2006 . It sounded inspiring at the time but is proving to be the nightmare of conflicted divided government. If you compromise or appear to do so, someone spits in your face in One America. Democrats are here to make us feel we are a Democracy that ethnic, gender, or the myriad factors that define us do not matter; the cruelest illusion of all. Republicans make no pretense in that they are refreshingly honest.
