I hope this post is ok for this forum.
I have read many comments about the violence and sexual content that our young people are exposed to on TV.
Last night I saw something that was so terrible, I just felt I need to inform people of what is out there on regular TV,not cable.
Just needing to pass a little time between other shows, I clicked on a show called New Girl on Fox.
The story line was that a young beautiful girl was marrying a man from India who she did not know well. She had never seen him naked. There was a bachelorette party where all the girls warned her that since she had never seen his penis, she might be in for a shock.
That was followed by sick jokes about all the strange weird things this penis might look like.
The humor was behind sick.
The solution was that they sent two male friends to get a picture of the unseen penis.
They did come back with a picture of a penis (not seen on camera) which was passed around for all the girls to judge. More really sick humor.
Then one of the picture takers admitted, "it is not his, it's mine"
Then the groom shows up and says you want to see it, I don't mind and starts to open his pants to give a display.
I think they stopped him.
this is a show young people could easily find and think by the title it is just a clever knew sitcom.
I am not a prude, but penis pictures being passed around at a girl's party could give our young girls very dangerous ideas.
I know we can't turn the clock back to Lucy or Rhoda, but what do we do about what network TV is exposing to our young people?

(11,417 posts)I think if you are like me we had a different take on things sexual than young people today. The audience that show is marketed to does not include you and me.
