americans really treat death differently. if some of the things said and done by the Brits was done here it would be some huge horrible controversy with the person losing their job.

just look at how there was outrage that donna brazille didn't say something nice or "rightly" mourn thatcher's death. the complaint wasn't even about anything brazille said or did. but she did not say enough positive about her.

And UK reports as high as 50% of their population described as having "no religion"

Our right-wing-framed media makes sure to punish the non-believers.
