Ashley Judd may not be running against McConnell but by gawd she can still bring him down

and down hard. His discussion cavalierly re her mental/depression issues many years ago, that many people in this nation suffer from, will not go down well. Ashley will accomplish more by being on the outside of this race than actually going up against him. Chuck Todd, of course, is lugging water again.

The whole story is that there's a recording. Mitch will be painted as a victim, and it will be business as usual.

Anybody who would vote for McConnell in the first place is probably happy with and proud of his nasty politics. None of this is cause for celebration.

But we didn't vote for him.

Someone who did vote for him isn't going to be turned against him by this. That's a simple fact.

Ms. Judd is a beloved person in KY and TN. I don't know...this could bite him in the ass.

The conservatives will applaud him and vociferously support the "Watergate" witch hunt.

Wait and see.

doesn't KY have a Dem governor? I think while there are a lot of conservatives there, maybe we will be surprised. I remain ever hopeful!

But I'd also like to remind you that "Democrat" and "liberal" are far from synonymous, especially in southern states.

I have shit luck in that regard.

I moved to GA right before 2002 and the Cleland-Bin Laden nonsense (not to mention the introduction of the Diebold faith-based voting machines). I think I may be jinxed.

On edit: In GA in 2002, I lived in a low median income county. I had to wait in line for 4 hours to vote. My coworkers 30 minutes south in a conservative area were in-and-out in 15 minutes. Kinda strange isn't it?

that's how Reverend Al presented it today on his show. Apparently the events that led to Judd’s depression primarily occurred during her childhood including the sexual abuse by her stepfather and her attempted suicide when she was in sixth grade. They should run an ad against McConnell with a photo of Judd as a little girl, describing the fact he’ll even disparage children in his quest for political power.

Anybody who has been raped twice and NOT suffered some form of post traumatic depression would be more worrisome. (not coming down on anybody who has been raped and not been psychologically effected, but just saying)
