Today is Yom Hashoa...

Holocaust Remembrance Day.

I didn't see it mentioned here, but thought it was worth noting.

There aren't a lot of Holocaust survivors left, and soon there'll be none. But we should always remember what humankind is capable of.

I suspect that we'll soon have to choose between FDR and Hitler.

Last time we chose FDR, the Germans chose Hitler. Hopefully we all choose wisely this time.

this is what you'll find on the left hand side. To the right is a tribute/remembrance to the victims of Rwanda.



My guest bathroom is filled with framed writings and political cartoons regarding the torture and assorted other war crimes committed by the U.S. government under Bush & Cheney. It's done up like a storyboard on cork background. A timeline of events. People read in the toilet - they can read about what their government did.
