An open letter to Wayne LaPierre:

Greetings, Mr. LaPierre. Did you catch 60 minutes last night? I did, but I'll wager we had a different reaction. I cried, Wayne. I'm a twice-wounded former combat infantryman who never shed a tear (until much later) when friends and comrades were killed within arm's reach; but last night my wife and I wept in each other's arms as we watched the testimony of the parents of those murdered children. However, I'm guessing your immediate response to last night's show was more along the lines of, "Ahhh, FUCK, how can we defuse this?"
Of course, bullets directed at you are an issue you never had to face ... you know ... with a psych eval that rendered you unfit for military service during my war.
But despite never having had to shoot at someone who was shooting back, you still sound downright heroic when you rhapsodize about military grade weapons.
So that makes you beneath contempt, Wayne. You champion the distribution of weapons which you know you will never have to face, and you will accept a shit-load of money from weapons manufacturers to push their agenda.
But America is catching up to your bullshit, Wayne. You're on the losing side of this one, but as you continue to suck up a big paycheck defending that which even most of your own members don't want, know this ... you will be remembered as a pariah; a wealthy one, no doubt, but one who who got rich on the bodies of innocents.
