he is seen as helpless. He is the head of the Democratic Party. I think he could swing some weight.

Maybe 90% say they want background checks. That's swell. When the pole was taken the question should have been presented like this, "Will you vote against your incumbent Congress-critters if they dont support background checks." I bet you wouldnt get 90% saying yes.
