real trolls. They don't back up what they say when challenged. We've been lied to about SS for so long now it is easy to see through the lies.

The chained CPI will reduce SS benefits,
for THIS mother and disabled son,

and thousands more like them.

The chained CPI will reduce SS benefits,
for THIS elderly woman in Washington:

and for thousands more like her.

The chained CPI will reduce SS benefits,
for THIS elderly Democratic Activist in Georgia,

and for thousands more like her.

The chained CPI will reduce SS benefits,
for survivors like THIS family,
My father, a WWII veteran, died at age 35 from cancer, leaving my mom and four young children. We were kept out of poverty by Social Security. President Obama, you lost a parent way too young! Please defend Social Security for ALL the orphans.
and thousands more like them.

But some here need to stop pretending nothing bad is going to happen to the elderly. Then again, some here are just insincere in what they post from the get-go.

He's only proposing it because the Republicans will never go for it. It's just a political N-dimensional chess move to make him look "serious".

but...

Aren't there lots of OTHER things he could do that would make him look serious (and not like a Republican, Chained CPI is a REPUBLICAN idea, after all) that the Republicans likewise wouldn't go for?

What if they DO go for it? If it gets "democratic" support AND Republican support, might it just pass??

He's a TERRIBLE negotiator.
