Maggie 'death cake' handed out in UK streets..

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/margaret-thatcher-dead-video-cheering-1818888#.UWMontnIJg0.twitter

People cheered and handed out 'Maggie death cake' today at one of several street parties held to celebrate Margaret Thatcher's death.

Video of the gathering in LEEDS was posted on YouTube and shows dozens of people whooping in delight.

A man can be seen using a megaphone chanting: "Maggie, Maggie, Maggie", to which the crowd reply "dead, dead, dead".

One woman, offering the cameraman "Thatcher death cake", tells him: "We're celebrating."

The former Prime Minister died peacefully this morning aged 87 at the Ritz Hotel after suffering a stroke.

They've ruined hundreds of thousands if not millions of lives and probably deserve to be executed for war crimes, so they're getting off lightly to be allowed a natural death.

Granted, I'm in the US, so I didn't see things first hand...

But she's responsible for the union-busting and destruction of the coal industry in the northern UK, she tried hitting the country with the Poll Tax - a fixed tax for every adult in the UK - which led to riots and her downfall.

She protected Pinochet, called Nelson Mandela a terrorist, and drove countless millions of people into economic ruin and misery.

We in the 99% dont have control on what happens with the Elite 1%. They can commit crimes with impunity. The only thing they cant control is their death. That's why we celebrate.

Cheney is a worse criminal than many in prison yet he can get on The View and be treated as a saint and we the 99% have to sit and take it. But the grim reaper will eventually get him and we will celebrate that he finally found someone more powerful than himself.

I dont wish Cheney to die, just rot in prison. Is that too much to ask?

Her ideas have outlived and will continue to outlive her, and they are a poisonous cancer upon the entire human race. She most certainly is doing still a very great deal of harm, through the legacy of her ideas (such as they are), and most of us know that. The gravedancing is not only deserved, but bought, paid for, and most definitely earned in every sense of the word.

That woman did a very very very great deal of harm, and dealt a very very very great deal of suffering and misery, to an enormous population of people who deserved nothing of the kind. As brief as Cheney and Bush were in office, and with as much harm as they themselves did, they both together do not hold so much as a paper match from a barroom book to the evils of the Great Old Poisonous Cancer-Witch Margaret Fucking Thatcher.

I for one am deeply thankful that old fucking bat is dead, and I hope she's burning beyond the reference, comprehension, or bitterest experience of the living, in the very very deepest of the Christian hells.

96. Not yours to tell others whom to forgive, when and how. All that is yours is to say

"I forgive her" and stop at that. Otherwise you are starting to sound VERY sanctimonious, see what I mean? Hope you do.

Have you not made mistakes?

How lond are you going to curse and punish someone, to eternity?

Those earthly matters should stop once someone has passed. Maybe they were here to learn a lesson. We shouldnt condemn someone to eternal sufferring because of how they led a country as PM.

The soul/spirit exists. I bet none of you would like to be judged after death for what you might have or might have not done wrong.

99. Maggie didn't give a shit about her "soul/spirit" while she was alive., otherwise she would have

at least apologised to countless people who's lives she destroyed without remorse while "learning her lesson" (according to you). If she didn't give a shit, why would anyone else? YMMV, of course.

BTW, you sound more and more sanctimonious with every post. What gives?

Let her spirit rest. It will do no good hating her, except giving yourself a bad karma. Let it go. She can't hurt anyone anymore, let her spirit move to higher realms.

......if there is such a thing as reincarnation, Maggie will have to spend several lousy lifetimes to make up for the bad karma she created in this one.

I didn't spend my life shitting on the poor and the working class or calling for peace activists to be thrown in prison.

So yes, compared to that vile woman, I'm a saint.

By the way, I'm an atheist. Spare me the soul nonsense.

Everything dies. Does someone who was evil in life become "good" when they die? Does death confer sainthood?

No. They did not earn my respect in life and they sure as hell don't merit it in death.

I will feel the same when the Bushes and Cheneys pass to what I hope is eternal damnation.

Death does not win you a pass with me for your actions in life.

I do not understand why we "have to be better than them" mentality. Repubicans would have us starving in the streets. When one dies, we are supposed to be "oh-so-correct"

104. Morning Joe has turned into the Maggie Thatcher Memorial Joe for the past 2 days.

How do I know? I tuned in yesterday and the Maggie adoration was in full bloom. I shut it off and went to Bill Press, as usual. Today, when I turned it on they were genuflecting at the altar of Maggie and Ronnie. Seems a little excessive for a mean and nasty woman of the 80's. When I turn off the TV at night it's been on MSNBC for the late night reruns and therefore is on MSNBC in the a.m., which is why I get exposed to bits of Killer Joe that I accidentally hear before hitting the remote.
