Nancy Reagan: Husband, Thatcher ‘soul mates’

Former First Lady Nancy Reagan on Monday described Margaret Thatcher and her husband as “political soul mates.”

“It is well known that my husband and Lady Thatcher enjoyed a very special relationship as leaders of their respective countries during one of the most difficult and pivotal periods in modern history,” Reagan said in a statement. “Ronnie and Margaret were political soul mates, committed to freedom and resolved to end Communism.”

Ronald Reagan and the former British prime minister, who died Monday, worked closely together in combating communism in the last years of the Cold War, Nancy Reagan noted.

According to George Carlin, when you die they have four places to go: heaven, hell, purgatory and limbo.

Heaven is beautiful. Lots of white light and angels. Neither of these two is worthy of heaven.

Hell is fire, and everyone can understand fire. According to Dante, there is a special place in hell for corrupt politicians but these two were so over the top they're destined for the center of hell. Satan doesn't want them around him.

Purgatory is where you go to be cleansed of your sins...but Reagan's and Thatcher's sins are like roofing tar on your prom dress: that shit's never coming out.

So it's limbo for them.
