Hillary’s shadow looms large over Stephen Colbert’s confab with Bill Clinton

Appearing on the final day of this year’s Clinton Global Initiative, President Bill Clinton sat for an interview and Q&A session with Comedy Central host Stephen Colbert, during which he slyly hinted that the slate of presidential candidates in future contests will offer “a lot of talented people” for voters to choose from.

He didn’t go into specifics, of course, but his comment is sure to fuel speculation about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s potential presidential ambitions.

Clinton’s response came after taking a question about whether he would like to be able to run for president again.

“I think that, except in unusual circumstances, a two-term limit is a good thing,” he said. “If they wanted to change the rules and say okay, two terms and then lay out and then be brought back, because people are living longer and doing better, for future people that would be okay with me.”

Clinton added that he personally would not want another eight years in the White House, “because I think I have learned how to do [global charity work] and I’m not sure anyone else would be doing this,” he said.

“And I’m quite sure there will always be a lot of talented people who are dying to be president of the United States,” Clinton added with a smile.

While there is not clear indication of Hillary’s future career plans, Clinton’s former top strategist James Carville is already heading up a super PAC called “Ready for Hillary,” which began taking donations last week. Harold Ickes, another top Democratic fundraiser, announced Sunday that he is also joining the PAC’s board of directors.

This video is from the Clinton Global Initiative’s closing session, aired Sunday, April 7, 2013.

I wouldn't miss her regardless, but she's already becoming overexposed.

How does that work if she hasn't offically announced? What if people give money and she decides she is Not running - do they get a refund?

Or Colbert's PAC..
apparently you do not have to be an announced candidate to start a PAC.

But if Carville is heading one up for Hillary, she is in the running, not yet announced.

in the Hillary White House. But, I don't think he ever left...but was in the background with the DLC/Third Way/Emmanuel crowd.

At one time I thought highly of Bill and Hillary... but when I found out what had been going on with Media and Banking Deregulation, Welfare Reform, NAFTA and some other items I realize that while we all were distracted defending him from Monica Gate Crazies and before that Hillary from the RW Christian Crazis the Clinton team somehow had time or were co-opted into signing some very bad legislation that has come home to roost.

They are wealthy and can have a good life with the Foundations they support. They can give speeches and influence policy. I don't think they need another term in the WH.

and that he has his head up his ass for even proposing it. And if it gets enacted and she is elected she will rescind it by executive order on her first day in office.
