He died on March 5.

Gish was a young-Earth creationist, and loved debating scientists.
He would "win," usually by rattling off lots of crap so fast the scientist couldn't keep up.
This became known in debating circles as the "Gish Gallop."

At least Biden finally showed us the only way to counter the Gish Gallop, something motormouthed conservatives always pull as they talk over people with sense: laugh at them.

(4,104 posts)I first heard about the Gish Gallop when I watched Romney spew non-stop during the first debate.
Such a dishonest way to debate.
I still can't get over Dems and progressives who still say that Romney "won" the first debate using this dishonest tactic. He lied the whole night and somehow that qualifies as a "win" to some.

In states like Louisiana that have school voucher programs, creationism is being taught using tax money.
Down in Texas it may be decades, if ever, to undo the damage done by a YEC dentist who used to head their school board.
