DFA Petition to the White House:against cutting Social Security
I know that old ladies make lousy soldiers what with the osteoporosis and all, but that is no reason for the slow mass murder of the chained CPI. We can substitute hamburger for steak, but what in bloody hell are we supposed to substitute for insulin?

President Obama, do not propose Social Security and Medicare benefit cuts in your budget. It’s wrong and it’s not what we voted for. We will fight to kill any bill in Congress that includes cuts to these benefits
News leaked today that President Obama's budget will openly push for cuts to Social Security benefits -- a shot across the bow for the progressives who called their neighbors, spent weekends knocking doors and donated millions to reelect him.
We need to act now to show President Obama that we don't have his back on this and to keep Democrats in Congress from caving to White House pressure.
